November 11, 2009 - SAVE THE DATE!

An event marking Armistice Day and the end of World War I will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Veterans Day, November 11, 2009. See "Events" for more details.


 

A living memorial to those who died in World War I 

 On Armistice Day, November 11, 1921, members of the Seattle Garden Club, led by President Lillian Gustin McEwan, planted the first 25 elm trees along Des Moines Way S -- the beginning of a living memorial to "American men who gave their lives for the country during World War I." Learn more ...
